Over 20 Years Experience With Tax Preparation
Tax Preparation
Our traditional service involves two face to face meetings, each lasting less than 10 minutes on average.
The first meeting would involve bringing your tax documents such as w-2's, 1099's, receipts, social security cards, etc. We will review your information to determine if we have everything necessary to complete your returns.
This meeting can be eliminated for returning customers by using our drop-off service.
The second meeting would involve showing you your returns, signing your returns, filing your returns, answering any questions about your returns, and accepting your payment for our service.
Our, "File Your Own Return Service" involves a step by step process to complete your returns at considerable savings for those who are computer savvy.
It would be advisable to have a tax professional prepare your return because of the ever changing tax laws. On average it takes 1 1/2 hours to research the instructions and publications to prepare your own return. If mistakes are made on your return you may need to file an amended return and if a refund is due it could take at best 8-10 weeks and could take months if there are questionable items in the return which the IRS feels needs further documentation.
A common credit for low income working people is the earned income credit. Mistakes claiming the earned income credit could disallow the credit for the current return and the next 3 years.
We take great care to stay current with tax law changes!
